Traumatic Brain Injury, or TBI
is a complex injury with a broad spectrum of symptoms and disabilities.

There are two general types of
head injuries: open and closed. An open injury means the skull has
been fractured and is typically the result of a fall or other direct
trauma to the head. A closed head injury does not involve a fracture
of the skull, but often times can be a more serious injury than
an open injury due to the possibility of brain swelling and the
formation of blood clots inside the skull. Either open or closed
head injury can cause complete paralysis or death.
Diagnosing TBI can be very difficult
since its symptoms can be easily overlooked for any number of conditions.

- Severe headaches
- Confusion

- Weakness or numbness on one side of the body
- Nausea and dizziness
